Ingredients

  • 1 cup Milk
  • 1 1/4 cup powdered Sugar
  • 1/4 cup Water
  • 1/2 tsp instant Coffee powder
  • 3/4 cup Oil
  • 2~3 drops Vanilla essence
  • 2 1/2 cups Maida
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened Cocoa powder
  • 2 tsp Eno fruit salt
  • A little Water
  • Sliced Almonds (Optional)
  • Few Choco chips (Optional)

Instructions

  • Take milk in a bowl and add powdered sugar, coffee, oil, vanilla essence.
  • Heat up 1/4 cup water and add 1/2 tsp instant coffee powder.
  • Mix well to make coffee and add it.
  • Mix everything well together.
  • If you want to skip coffee then add 1/4 cup milk instead of coffee.
  • Take maida, unsweetened cocoa powder in a strainer and mix well.
  • Sieve the mixture into the bowl.
  • Mix everything well together.
  • Add Eno fruit salt and a little water to activate it.
  • Mix in quickly Line up a baking tray with wax paper at the base and transfer the cake batter into it.
  • Tap the tray really good.
  • Garnish with almond slices and choco chips.
  • Almond sliced and choco chips are optional.
  • You can skip it if you don’t want.
  • Preheat up a kadhai on medium heat for about 10 minutes.
  • You can give a thin layer of salt at the base of the kadhai if you want.
  • Place a stand in the kadhai and baking tray on it.
  • Cover and bake on medium heat for about 40-45minutes.
  • Turn off the gas after 45 minutes and let the cake be in the cooker for another 10 minutes.
  • Open the lid and check with toothpick.
  • If it comes out clean it means the cake is baked well.
  • Take the tin out after a while and let it cool down completely.
  • Loosen the edges with a knife and flip the cake over into a dish.
  • Tea time chocolate cake is all ready.
