Ingredients

  • 100 grams Karale / Nigella seeds
  • 1 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 10~12 Garlic cloves
  • 1 tsp Red chili powder
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  • Heat up a pan on medium heat.
  • Add karale, cumin seeds, and dry roast on medium heat for about 4-5 minutes.
  • Do not roast longer.
  • Turn off the heat and let it cool down a little.
  • Take garlic cloves in a blender jar and just give 1 or 2 pulses. Do not blend longer.
  • You can add less garlic if you don’t like more.
  • Add roasted karale, red chili powder, salt to taste, and blend everything coarsely.
  • Do not blend continuously. Pulse and stop it.
  • If you blend continuously then karale will release oil and chutney will be sticky.
  • Take the chutney out and karalyachi chutney is already. You can have it as a side with chapatti, rice, paratha, bhakari too.
  • Spread on chapatti, roll it and enjoy.
